HPE considered a host of criteria in selecting the Duisburg inner port as its new site. Factors considered were infrastructure, international flair, proximity to the consumers-Good links to airports and a pleasant atmosphere promoting work for our employees were the criterion which was met by the Duisburg inner port. Another aspect favouring selection was proximity to the universities of the Euregio and Rhine/Ruhr region –something which eases the recruitment of well-educated and trained employees.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere at the Duisburg inner port is both stimulating and invigorating. Over the past few years, the inner port has been transformed from a derelict area into a modern municipal quarter featuring a successful blend of offices, restaurants, cultural amenities and apartments. Star architect Sir Norman Foster from London drafted and designed the overall complex. The architecturally sophisticated concept with its urbane character has led to a considerable number of renowned companies setting up business at the inner port. This site provides our employees with a pleasant and attractive environment in which to work.
